Our Generation Saved, Healed, and Purposed

...On Earth as it is in Heaven
Who is GOD? What is GOD Like?
People have all kinds of different kinds of beliefs and opinions when it comes to God. Does He exist? Who is He or She? What is God like? Belief or Unbelief? What does God want from us? With purpose to answer these questions, a Man burned with passion some two thousand years ago, but not just a Man, someone of so much more substance than the world was even ready for. The substance He carried made the blind to see, cured the sick and the lame, and delivered the oppressed. Everywhere He went, "supernatural" events took place. He was known as a friend of the outcast and the broken. He was accused of being too close to those deemed not suitable, imperfect, or unlovable; however, something deep inside of Him caused Him to act counter culture --- redefining quo. His passion, His burning was
for people.... to know.... God
This passion was too much for those in lead to handle. It infuriated those profiteers of systematic slavery and everything opposed to the burning inside His veins. His love in the midst of hate led to His death. A death no one but He could bear... which involved the most horrid form of human punishment invented at that time - the Roman Crucifixion.
His life was so marked by something other worldly that even at His death, one of the soldiers commanded to participate in His punishment cried out, "Surely this Man was the Son of God!"
Who was this Man? was He more than a man? A guru? An ascended one? Or Someone all together more perfect...
This man was, and is, and will always be the Savior of the World
His Name... JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH
His Person... The Son of GOD
His Identity... The Uncreated One Made Flesh
and His same passion is burning throughout a body of people who believe there is something more to life than what the world presents us with. There is a relationship on offer with the Eternal One.
In a time of great societal oppression Jesus declared a new Kingdom. One built not upon hierarchy, fear, or law, but upon the opportunity for everyone to have relationship with God. Jesus declared this Kingdom to be "at hand." Direct connection to God - accessible and within reach. As people were looking here and there for peace, acceptance and deliverance from the world around them, Jesus said God's Kingdom would be found within.
When Jesus Christ was crucified, those who participated in the act did not know what they were doing except that they wanted someone to blame for their problems. We do the same thing today. We blame someone else - our family, our friends, our fellow man, our leaders and ultimately God for our sins, pains and failures. We scapegoat whatever "other" we can find. God being the great "Other" - we try to place Him in the lense of our scrutiny. We ask him to sit upon the seat of our rebellion. We try to push him toward the guillotine of our punishment, and in essence, WE crucify the Lord of Glory. But God took our moment of greatest wrath and turned it into our forgiveness. On the cross, God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself not counting our tresspasses against us (2 Corinthians 5). Nailed to a tree, God Himself spoke whole-hearted forgiveness for every broken thing we do to ourselves and one another. God took the pain of all of our destruction in the body of the Innocent Christ Jesus and there by restores our innocence. From the place of our greatest rejection, the rejection of God Himself, God announces whole hearted acceptance. He brings about the end of our sense of distance from Him and destroys the system of trying to climb up into His favor by our own merits. He came to us, and He announces the Way to relationship with God and each other.
Jesus Christ, the ultimate martyr, could not be held by the grip of death. He RESURRECTED on the third day. He was and is alive - still doing the things which we can read about in the scriptures. In a body of flesh, God announces New Life in the Resurrection of Christ Jesus from the dead!
Jesus did not come in the flesh to start a religion. He came to transform our identity. To restore us to our origin. He came that we might know we are infinitely loved by our God and Father. Every religion on the planet is what people are trying to do to get closer to God. Jesus is what God has done to come to man.
Knowing Jesus is not about adhering to a set of beliefs or assembling in a certain location. Knowing Jesus is about knowing a person. It is our heart at this ministry to introduce people to the Person of God, or for people who already know Him, to better present Him in His heart and His power. Jesus did not come to change God's mind about us. He came to change our mind about God. God is a Father whose heart felt desire is adoption of all of mankind through the incarnation of His Son Jesus. As a good Father He longs to provide us with a sense of identity, provision, and purpose.
An identity free from dysfunction, limitation, insecurity, and intimidation
True provision that comes through Christ's ministry and finished work upon the cross.
A purpose filled with passion, intent, direction, and empowerment
Jesus has not left us as orphans. His Presence marks our every interaction. His power comes because of His heart for all of us and our wholeness - body, soul and spirit. When He shows up, people are healed, delivered, and filled with freedom to live as He intended us to be. His Presence is our intent and as a result, many are equipped to walk in supernatural power through experiencing His Presence as we travel.
